DADZ WINGS LUMBERTON NJ



DADZ BAR AND GRILL LUMBERTON NEW JERSEY


On Friday November 21st , My Brother and I went to Dadz Bar and Grill on Route 38 in Lumberton, New Jersey. We went to try their wings after hearING nothing but good things about them. We got there around 9, wasn’t too busy and got a seat in the back area where a band would be playing around 10. We looked at the menu to see what they offered, they offered 2 different types of wings, Wings (with flour on them ) and Naked wings (without flour on them) and 13 sauces (Asian - BBQ - Bourbon - Caribbean - Garlic - Jerk -Mild-Medium - Hot - Super Hot - Hotter Than Hell - Cajun - Old Bay). My Brother got 6 garlic, 6 medium and 6 Old Bay, I stuck to my usual 18 mild. We got the wings and dug right into them, we both agreed they were very meaty and the sauce on the mild and medium wings was just an average sauce with nothing special about it, which is never a bad thing. My brother said the garlic wings were delicious and the Old Bay wings were different but good. This was the first place that I saw to offer Old Bay wings, I heard of fries with Old Bay seasoning on them but never wings. Another cool thing about Dadz is that it is all you can eat wings which includes soup, salad and garlic bread on Tuesdays 11am-11pm. Overall the atmosphere, the wings and the prices were not bad and I would definitely recommend trying this place out when you get a chance. It was also rated Burlington County Times best wings 2008.

Sierra's Grandma's Secret Buffalo Wing Sauce


Sierra's Grandma's Secret Buffalo Wing Sauce

Ingredients
2 cups vegetable oil
10 whole, fresh chicken wings, cut in pieces (20 wing pieces)
1 stick butter
4 tablespoons brown sugar
5 tablespoons tomato sauce
1/4 teaspoon garlic
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon white pepper
1/4 teaspoon chili powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon oregano, fresh or dried
Dash beer
1 dash hot sauce (recommended: Frank's Hot Sauce)
Directions
Chicken Wing preparation: Heat 2 cups vegetable oil to 350 degrees F in a large skillet on stovetop. Drop wing pieces into hot oil and fry for 10 to 15 minutes or until crisp. Transfer wings to paper towels to remove excess oil.

Buffalo Wing Sauce: Melt butter and brown sugar together over medium heat in a small saucepan on stovetop. Add tomato sauce and hot sauce into mixture. Finally, add garlic, onion powder, white pepper, chili powder, salt, and oregano. Add a dash of beer, to taste. Stir over low heat until mixture is well blended.

Toss sauce liberally over chicken wings. Serve buffalo wings with blue cheese dressing, carrots and/or celery sticks.

BUFFALO WILD WINGS RECIPE


BUFFALO WILD WINGS

FOR THE WINGS:
20 chicken wing pieces
6 to 12 cups vegetable shortening
1/4 cup to 1/3 cup choice of sauce (recipes follow)
Celery sticks (for serving)

Heat shortening in your fryer to 350 degrees F.

Drop wings into shortening and fry for 10 to 12 minutes, or until wings are turning light brown. Remove wings to a rack or paper towels to drain for 1 minute.

Put wings into plastic container with a lid. Add 1/4 cup to 1/3 cup of your own sauce of to container, put lid on and give a good shake.

Pour wings onto plate and add celery on the side.

Serves 2 to 4 as an appetizer

SPICY GARLIC WING SAUCE:
1 cup Frank's cayenne pepper
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 teaspoon granulated sugar
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon coarse ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 egg yolk
2 teaspoons water
2 teaspoons cornstarch

MEDIUM WING SAUCE:
1 cup Frank's cayenne pepper sauce
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 teaspoon granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/8 teaspoon coarse ground black pepper
1 egg yolk
2 teaspoons water
2 teaspoons cornstarch

HOT WING SAUCE:
1 cup Frank's cayenne pepper sauce
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 teaspoon granulated sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/8 teaspoon coarse ground black pepper
1 egg yolk
2 teaspoons water
2 teaspoons cornstarch
2 teaspoons cornstarch

Combine all ingredients except egg yolk, water, and cornstarch for sauce of your choice in a small saucepan. Heat sauce over medium heat until boiling, then reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes. Remove pan from heat and allow it to cool, uncovered, for 10 minutes.

While sauce cools, vigorously whisk egg yolk with 2 teaspoons water in a medium bowl for about 2 minutes or color is pale yellow. Whisk in cornstarch until dissolved. Drizzle sauce mixture into egg yolk mixture in a steady stream while rapidly whisking. This will create a thick, creamy emulsion that will prevent oil from separating. Cover sauce and chill until needed.

Makes 1 1/2 cups

CARIBBEAN JERK SAUCE
Makes 2 cups

3 tablespoons margarine
2 tablespoons minced green onion (white and light green parts only)
1 cup water
3/4 cup ketchup
1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons dark brown sugar
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
2 tablespoons white vinegar
2 tablespoons Frank's cayenne pepper sauce
2 teaspoons ground black pepper
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoons lemon juice
1 1/2 teaspoons cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
1 teaspoon cornstarch
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/8 teaspoon ground allspice
1/8 teaspoon rubbed sage

Melt margarine over a medium-low heat. Add minced green onions and cook 5 minutes. You just want to sweat the onions to soften them up. You're not looking to brown them.

Remove pan from heat, and whisk in remaining ingredients. Put pan back on the stove and bring mixture to a boil over medium heat. Reduce heat and simmer 45 minutes or until sauce darkens and thickens. Cover sauce, then cool and chill until needed.

A little history of Wing Bowl:

The Wing Bowl is an annual chicken wing eatting contest that was founded in 1993 by two Philadelphia radio hosts, Al Morganti and Angelo Cataldi. Since its start in 1993, the Wing Bowl that began as a radio promotion has grown into an extremely competitive and exciting tradition in Philadelphia. The Wing Bowl is usually held on the Friday preceding the Super Bowl and is broadcasted live from the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia by WIP (AM radio).
The event all started when WIP's host Al Morganti came up with the idea when it seemed unlikely that the Philadelphia Eagles were going to make a Super Bowl appearance anytime soon. The first Wing Bowl took place in the lobby of the Wyndham Franklin Plaza Hotel in Center City Philadelphia. Ever since then, the media has embraced the bowl which has caused it to grow. The Wing Bowl became so popular that they had to move it to larger arenas such as the Wachovia Center and more Wing Bowl tickets were made available to help feed the growing demand. Now every major Philadelphia television station covers this exciting yet unique event.
The popularity of the Wing Bowl is undeniable. The event now draws crowds amassing over 20,000 people and is expected to be even bigger this year.

BUFFALO WILD WINGS - ORLANDO FLORIDA


I saw the commercials on TV , but I was a little skeptical at first to try one of these places. I'm glad I did though! We visited the Buffalo Wild Wings in Orlando Florida and it was nice. The wings were solid with 14 different flavors to pick from on the menu. They weren't the meatiest wings I ever had, but the sauces made up for them. They went from Sweet BBQ to Blazin' hot. After speaking with the manager he claimed a guy had recently eaten 20 of these Blazin hots and that was astonishing. So if you can surpass that record , please send us video footage!! My favorite sauce that I sampled was Spicy Garlic. A little kick with some good flavor. Food was served fast , and the atmosphere was awesome. I counted about 33 TV's ( just about every college football game was on ) and 3 large screen projection screens. They also have free wifi and a full service sit down bar. Buffalo Wild Wings also has a good weekly deal consisting of all you can eat wings and french fries for 9.99 mon-fri 10 am -2 pm. Overall had a good experience with a courteous staff and good food.
